Inter-relation between individuals and relation with God is the motivation of Church. By taking the deaf man away from the crowd, Jesus was establishing a small society or church of two people which responded to their needs. It is the responsibility of the church to wake a sleeping man in the congregation.

Attacks emboldened from lack of police protection

Voice of the Martyrs-Canada reports that amazingly the pastor is now only being treated for swelling and bruises. Pastor Laxmi Narayana was intimidated and threatened by a group of militants who entered his home around 7 p.m. on Friday demanding that he leave the area.

Indonesian Christian women released from jail sentence

Three Indonesian Christian women who had been serving prison sentences after accusations of proselytism and breaches of child protection in the majority-Muslim state have been freed from jail, report human rights groups. Ratna Bangun, Eti Pangesti and Rebekka Zakaria were released from Indramayu State Prison, West Java, earlier this month and addressed a press conference run by a Christian charity, Open Doors.

Children's bodies are sent home

PARENTS of an Indian brother and sister, who died a month ago from pesticide poisoning, were allowed to fly home with their children's bodies last night. They were given permission to leave the country after authorities released the bodies - in effect clearing parents, Mini and Saji Varghese, of any wrongdoing. The couple were questioned for several weeks by the Public Prosecution and the Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) after their daughter Juval, aged 13, and her three-year-old brother Joel died.

Christians express concerns over their future in Gaza

Gaza (MNN) -- Christians in the Gaza Strip expressed concern about their future after Islamic militants of Hamas took control of the Palestinian territory. Open Doors' Carl Moeller says Hamas' takeover brought weeks of violence to an end. But having Hamas in charge may not necessarily be a good thing. The social and economic infrastructure has totally broken down. "Hamas will rule in Gaza, and if that's the case, Gaza will be cut off from any aid from the outside world.

Anti conversion bill expected in eighth state

India (MNN) -- The Hindu Nationalist Party of India is trying to enact an anti-conversion bill in the northern state of Uttarakhand. That brings to eight the number of states in the country who either have such a law on the books or have a proposal circulating in the legislative assembly. On February 8, the United News of India reported that the BJP promised an anti-conversion law in its manifesto for the Assembly polls in the state.

Ministry finds creative way around anti-conversion law effects.

India (MNN) -- "The vast majority of people who are in non-Christian faiths don't know, personally, a Christian." It's what makes an indigenous ministry critical to reaching the lost in India. However, that's been complicated by a push toward an Indian Hindu state. Eight states now have anti-conversion legislation either on the books or in process. The rise in anti-Christian sentiment has put quite a lot of pressure on outreach efforts.

International (MNN) -- Christians from all across the globe will be gathered on one day, May 27, to pray for their nations. Believers in Africa, Asia, the UK, the Middle East, North and South America, and the Pacific Islands will be united in lifting up Christ and interceding for their countries during the Global Day of Prayer. Just as in Acts when the disciples were gathered in one place seeking God's face, the goal of the Global Day of Prayer is to unite Christians all around the world to pray for their communities.

‘Healthy’ students withdrawn as school allows HIV+ kids

TRIVANDRUM — The raging row over the schooling of HIV positive children in Kerala took a curious turn yesterday with majority of the ‘healthy’ students in Mar Dionysius Lower Primary School at Pampady in Kottayam keeping away from the school after the former were allowed to attend the classes.Reports from Kottayam said that 40 of the 50 students on the roll in the school were withdrawn by their parents in protest against the school management’s decision to admit the HIV positive children in the school.

India Christian Workers Murdered Amid Spreading Anti-Christian Violence

Government Demolishes Church in Malaysia

GUA MUSANG, MALAYSIA (ANS) -- The Malaysian Government has apparently demolished a Christian church building in an Orang Asli settlement in Gua Musang in Ulu Kelantan on June 4, according to Salem Voice Ministries News Service.The news service said that just few months ago, the Orang Asli community in Kampung Jias converted into Christianity as a result of the ministries of Pastor Moses Soo.
